Our mission is to build short- and long-term financial strength and provide facilities that enable the achievement of the mission and vision of CPC.

Role in the Life of the Church
To support our dreams and ministry with sound finances and reliable facilities, and to fullfill Christ's call to be good stewards of all of our resources.

Objectives
Our SMART objectives focus on eliminating annual budget deficits and increasing the endowment fund to support the vision and programs of Christ Presbyterian Church. We are in the process of establishing a complete annual budgeting practice that will allow the operating budget to end each fiscal year in balance.

This is no small task. It requires a lot of careful planning and communication. We hope to develop a series of communication vehicles to explain how we can close our financial gaps, fund our visions, and better honor the Lord and our members with our resources. Our overall objective is to equip the members of CPC to be stewards of life.

Structure
The Stewardship Commission is made up of several leaders including elders (Bob Sorensen, John Everitt, Sherry Topp), staff representative (Shannon Wardall) and members-at-large (Peter Cole, Bruce Barge, Pete Hammond, and Phil Plourd-Treasurer). Our Commission is not viewed as a replacement for these teams, but as a coordinating and visioning group regarding the development and use of our resources for ministry.

Current Needs
You are invited to call, advise, and write anyone on our team. We are currently focusing on budgeting for 2005.

Please let us hear your dreams, hopes, fears or concerns. We need each member's help to see that Christ Presbyterian Church is resourced with wisdom from each of us, a good staff, workable facilities, good decision making, cheerful givers and ample funding.
